Erik Svans

Hi there!  Jenny, Sophia (15) Mountain View, Andrew (12) Ishikawa and I have lived here in Legacy since 2021 and absolutely love the neighborhood!  We gotten to know a few of you and look forward to serving on the Board if elected!  Jenny is a born and raised Mesa girl, but I grew up in Northern California and moved to Arizona in 2000.  Since then I’ve been busy running my dental practice in North Scottsdale, managing all aspects of the small business/dental practice.  I appreciate the improvements in the short time we have been here, and appreciate all the effort others have made before me.  I look forward to carrying the torch to make Legacy even better over the next year!

Althea Beltran

My name is Althea Beltran, I am the mother of 4 children and my husband Simon and I have been married for 30 years.  We have lived in Legacy for 3-1/2 years.  I have a masters degree in secondary education.  Currently, I run the marketing for Wright Orthodontics.  My hobbies include running, biking, and tennis.  I have served on the Legacy HOA Board since 2021.  I enjoy family, friends, and getting to know my neighbors.

Adam Schaefer

My wife, Sarah, and I moved into Legacy Mesa in December 2021.  We were initially drawn to the development because it was a safe, lush community to raise a family.  The green spaces really stood out compared to the other developments we considered in Gilbert and Scottsdale. As we look forward to welcoming our first child in 2024, we aspire to ensure that the community retains its natural beauty, neighbors continue to actively engage, and preserve the character that makes Legacy Mesa one of the premier gated communities in Arizona.

David Bruggeman

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to the Phoenix area 22 years ago. I’m married to Stephanie and we’ll be celebrating our 40th anniversary this year. We have three grown children and five grandchildren. I hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Bellevue University and served ten years in the Army Reserves. I’ve owned and sold four different healthcare businesses and in 2015 I decided to retire. I enjoy golfing, pickleball, traveling and spending time with our family. When we first moved to the metro area we bought a home in Arboleda, the community directly north, and after ten years we decided to downsize to a condo in old town Scottsdale. Over the next ten years, we always discussed building a custom home, and we were once again drawn to this area. This area has such character with its landscaping and uniqueness of the homes. As a new resident of Legacy I’m looking forward to taking part in insuring this character and creating a neighborhood that we are proud to call home.

Brandon Barrett

My name is Brandon Barrett, my wife Cortney and I both grew up in NE Mesa and love everything about it here. Beautiful weather and close proximity to all the things our family enjoys have made it an amazing place to call home. We have 4 children ranging in ages from 4-12 and spend most days shuttling them to various activities around town. I have held a Real Estate license for 20 years and a Brokers license for 10. Currently, I work in the multifamily affordable housing space. My hobbies include sailing, trail running and pickleball.
